Job Summary
Are you passionate about connecting top talent with the right opportunities and creating a seamless onboarding experience? The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist position is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, testing and referring applicants for all positions throughout the Home Office along with Claims and Sales field staff. The incumbent will also be responsible for the onboarding process for those they recruit. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a general knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. A strong desire for building relationships and understanding the importance of strong customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and screening applicants for employment and ensure that qualified candidates are presented to hiring managers in a timely manner.
- Oversee the company’s internal job posting program.
- Assist hiring managers in the selection process by providing meaningful, unbiased evaluations of candidates.
- Manage the company’s new employee onboarding program in a way that effectively provides new hires with an understanding of company policies and procedures, making their introduction to the company a positive and motivating one.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with community organizations, high schools, trade schools, and colleges and universities as a means of strengthening the company’s recruitment programs.
- Direct the company’s college recruiting programs, including intern and summer employment programs.
- Ensure legal compliance in the employment process by providing training for, and by consulting with hiring managers.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, Marketing/sales, and/or recruiting preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel, including overnight, although limited.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
